The Purdue track and field teams host their home opener on Friday and Saturday at the Rankin Track and Field. The Boilermakers welcome 12 teams for the Dave Rankin Invite, which begins with the hammer throw on Friday.

Dani Bunch was named the women's Big Ten Field Athlete of the Week for the second-consecutive week, the Big Ten Conference announced on Wednesday. The award is Bunch's second outdoor award and ninth total Big Ten weekly honor.
